Impression: Uniface, en noir sur papier blanc. Motifs floraux aux quatre coins ; deux faisceaux dans des cartouches aux bordures droite et gauche, au centre desquels se trouve un foudre ; en bas, un triangle contenant la somme 10 sous. Aux angles LA NATION, LA LOI, LE ROI ; le triangle est accosté de deux nymphes tenant l'une une couronne de lauriers, l'autre des rameaux d'olivier, les deux soutenant une pique surmontée d'un bonnet phrygien. Timbres secs: deux timbres secs, ronds. A gauche : Génie gravant la constitution - autour : 'REGNE DE LA LOI' - au dessous, en deux lignes: 'L'AN 4 DE LA / LIBERTE' à droite: Effigie de la République debout appuyée sur une colonne. Sous l'effigie, le nom du graveur Gatteaux. Particularité: Les dates sont imprimées en caractères droits. A droite, allégorie de la paix
