Description
Statuette représentant un écorché anatomique. Il s'agit d'un homme debout privé de ses téguments, de sa boîte crânienne et dont la cage thoracique est ouverte. L'écorché descend les marches d'un socle à deux niveaux, la jambe droite est repliée, tandis que le poids du corps repose sur la jambe gauche tendue. Le corps est légèrement déhanché et en arrière. Le bras gauche est replié contre la poitrine et coudé à angle droit. L'homme regarde sa main gauche qui tient une sorte de pierre noire dont le but est de tendre les muscles. De même, la main droite tient un objet semblable, mais le bras droit est ici tendu. Chaque bras est amovible grâce à un assemblage 'à la romaine' par des clavettes. La cage thoracique et la paroi abdominale sont ouvertes et laissent voir les organes traités sommairement. Seul le poumon droit subsiste, les autres éléments manquent. A l'origine un plastron devait recouvrir cette partie du corps, le cerveau devait aussi être protégé par une calotte crânienne. les clavettes maintenant les bras sont en laiton
