Description
Bague en or sertie d'une intaille en nicolo. Le chaton est dégagé de l'anneau par une gorge transversale à profil de feuille recourbée. Il est pyramidal, en forme d'octogone très allongé dans lequel vient s'inscrire l'ovale de la pierre. L'intaille est en nicolo, gris ardoise en surface et noir bleuté en profondeur : elle représente la déesse Roma, casquée, assise, le torse de face, mais la tête et les jambes de profil, sur un trône à haut dossier : son bras gauche relevé près du corps tient un long sceptre dont le bras est caché par un bouclier disposé verticalement contre le siège. Sur sa main gauche tendue vers l'avant, un palladium qu'elle regarde. Long péplos et manteau couvrant les genoux. Tabouret sous les pieds.
