Ivoire gravé et taillé, teinté de noir ; Calendrier perpétuel en laiton et cadran elliptique ou analemmatique en laiton argenté gravé. ; Disques lunaires (Ib) en métal blanc apparemment argenté. ; Papier imprimé en noir au fond de la cuvette de la boussole. ; Tissus rouge sous le disque lunaire ; Cadran de mer ou boussole montée dans une boîte en ivoire ornée sur les deux faces d'ornements vieillis, gravés en creux et noircis. Face Ia : Cadran équinoxial (2 x 12 heures) et polaire (4-12-8). Face Ib : Cadran lunaire à 2 disques dont un petit gradué de 1 à 30 à trou circulaire pour les phases de la lune laissant apparaître un tissu rouge. Règle d'inclinaison du couvercle particulièrement usée entre 45 et 55°. Face IIa : Cuvette de boussole doté d'un tableau sur papier imprimé comportant les latitudes de 18 villes de France d'Aix (43°) à Dieppe (50°), dont une invisible à 48°, entouré des directions cardinales inscrites sur fond bleu, d'un cercle en rouge et d'un cadran de boussole classique sur le bord extérieur du papier. Cadran horaire magnétique elliptique ou analemmatique gradué de V à XII à VII. Aucun indice de fil de gnomon. Deux petits trous placés en vis à vis supposent la présence d'une fixation des deux battants du diptyque par l'intérieur, par une pièce métallique disparue. Face IIb : Calendrier perpétuel en tableau classique. Le dispositif de rotation - translation de l'ellipse interne fonctionne encore. Les quatre faces portent le décor de bordure trilobé usuel des cadrans dieppois, doublé du motif de cadre à double ligne. Crochet de l'orifice du gnomon à gauche conservé
