Description
Crucifix en ivoire et ébène. Sculpture sur ivoire, pour le Christ et les attributs. Croix d'ébène en deux parties montées à mi-bois, avec un filet d'ivoire marqueté sur tout le pourtour de la croix. Clous en bronze taillés. Le Christ est monté sur une croix d'ébène, largement filetée d'ivoire. '...Ce Christ (pièce intime) est d'une exécution merveilleuse qui en ferait un chef d'oeuvre si le torse était mieux proportionné avec les cuisses et les jambes. On en voulait 800 fr. C'est sur mes renseignements comparés que j'ai pu l'obtenir pour 650 fr. Les 3 soeurs de Bignard étant toutes décédées, l'héritage revint à ......, dame de compagnie de la d[erni]ere soeur Victoire, décédée à 91 ans'
