Description
Général puis l'un des successeurs d'Alexandre le Grand, Lysimaque fit paraître sur ses monnaies le portrait du prestigieux conquérant divinisé. Droit : portrait idéalisé d'Alexandre le Grand, de profil, portant le diadème. L'une des deux cornes de bélier d'Ammon apparaît au-dessus de l'oreille. En 331 avant J.-C., ce dieu égyptien, assimilé à Zeus par les Grecs, aurait confirmé par oracle à Alexandre son pouvoir et sa mission divine d'unification du monde. Revers : Athéna, assise de profil, à gauche, appuyée sur le bouclier, la lance à son côté droit, tient une Victoire ailée de sa main droite.
