Description
Coffret de 35 cubes en bois recouvert de papier imprimé en chromolithographie. A côté de scènes de genre (jeu de colin-maillard, enfants jouant sur la plage, en promenade sur une autruche…), l'une des scènes à reconstituer représente Edouard VII. Né en 1841, fils de la reine Victoria, il fut roi d'Angleterre de 1902 à 1910. C'est sous son règne que fut signée l'Entente Cordiale qui fête cette année son centenaire : en mai 1903, le roi d'Angleterre était venu en visite officielle à Paris ; le 8 avril 1904, une convention concrétise l'entente entre les deux pays après une longue période de rapports difficiles.
