Description
Porcelaine dure de type famille rose ; dorures et décors d'émaux opaques et semi-opaques sur couverte. ; Sur la panse, un médaillon avec une scène d’intérieur aristocratique montrant une femme et un enfant alterne avec un décor d’oiseaux s’ébattant parmi des pivoines se déploie sur fond blanc laissé en réserve. Des registres contenant des fleurs et des végétaux se répètent au niveau du pied, de l’épaule, du col et de la lèvre. Un petit chilong (dragon sans cornes) doré rajouté à la barbotine s’enroule autour du col, tandis qu’un enfant tient une pomme ajoutée elle aussi à la barbotine. ; Cette paire (formée avec le vase 2177) de petits vases appartient à une sous-catégorie de la famille rose surnommée par les antiquaires « rose médaillon » et produites à Canton pour l’exportation dans la 1ère moitié du XIXe siècle. Le corps de porcelaine est décoré d’émaux sur couverte de famille rose à dominante vert cru, rouge orangé et rose vif relevé d’or et de noir. La composition est très chargée présente des panneaux contenant des personnages évoquant la vie fantasmée de la cour des Qing, qui fascine les Occidentaux. Ces panneaux alternent avec des zones et des bordures où pullulent papillons, oiseaux, fleurs et fruits. Les petits chilong rajoutés à la barbotine et s’enroulant de manière joueuse autour de la pièce sont un élément fréquent sur les porcelaines et les cloisonnés de la fin du XVIIIe et du début du XIXe siècle.
