Description
Porcelaine de type famille rose ; décors de dorures et d'émaux opaques et semi-opaques sur couverte ; couverte en bois taillé ; Boîte cylindrique avec décors historié continu. Quinze figures évoluent dans un environnement clos (une maison, un palais) et se répartissent en deux groupes, chacun affairé autour d'un jeu de go. Le couvercle est en bois sculpté et représente le pistil d'un lotus. ; Durant le règne de Yongzheng (1723-35), les premières pièces exportées outre-mer étaient très coûteuses et de grande qualité.Cette boîte appartient à une typologie de la famille rose surnommée par les antiquaires « rose médaillon » et produites à Canton pour l’exportation dans la 1ère moitié du XIXe siècle. Le corps de porcelaine est décoré d’émaux sur couverte de famille rose à dominante vert cru, rouge orangé et rose vif relevé d’or et de noir. La composition est très chargée présente des panneaux contenant des personnages évoquant la vie fantasmée de la cour des Qing, qui fascine les Occidentaux. Ces panneaux alternent avec des zones et des bordures où pullulent papillons, oiseaux, fleurs et fruits.
