Description
Assiette d’une série de six assiettes en porcelaine, au bord festonné et au décor en dents de loup or sur le bord de l’aile. Au-dessous une frise d’arabesques et de grillage d’or en relief, très fins orne le bord. À hauteur du marli une forme festonnée en six points descend jusqu’au bassin. Sur le milieu du pied, un filet or. Au fond du bassin, le peintre Garnier a représenté le portrait d'une jeunes femme, d’après une peinture de Greuze. Elle est brune, les yeux bleus, les cheveux relevés avec une raie au milieu, et elle porte un ruban rose autour de sa tête, avec un bouquet de petites fleurs roses et leur feuillage, au-dessus de l’oreille. Elle porte une robe au tissu léger et transparent avec un large décolleté carré bordé d’un volant plat aérien, qui est partiellement caché par une écharpe transparente négligemment nouée sur le côté. Le devant de son décolleté est orné d’une rose avec son feuillage. Ses manches sont très larges et vaporeuses. Elle est de face, en buste.
