Peson en bronze massif moulé et fil de bronze torsadé : le fil de bronze est moulé en crochet à une extrémité et torsadé sur lui-même à l'autre, afin de former une boucle, maintenant le peson; corps constitué d'un anneau circulaire, à section plate, continuant sur un cylindre plein mouluré de 7 moulures parallèles et régulières, à section plate; se prolongeant sur un ensemble mouluré de 4 bols dont les centraux se font face ; 'Ces pesons ou contre-poids, autrefois adaptés sur des balances, épousent des formes diverses; (a) est une rondelle tronconique qui s'élargit vers le haut (l'épaule est couverte de cercles ponctués, en creux), munie en son centre d'un appendice circulaire, à tête ronde, troué; (b) est une simple sphère munie d'un anneau de suspension (cf. Expo. Dijon, 1979, n° 179, p. 48, pl. 50); c) prend la forme d'une balustre percée en son sommet, encore muni d'un crochet de suspension; (d) a la configuration d'un gland dont l'écorce sommitale munie d'un anneau est couverte de cercles incisés (cf. Boucher, 1971, n° 508-510, p. 187; Expo. Dijon, 1979, n° 178, p. 48, pl. 50; Expo. Dijon, 1982, n° 137g, p. 49); (e) est en forme de buste de Silène avec un anneau au sommet (motif fréquemment utilisé pour ce type d'objets, cf. également le n° 454.'
