Description
Calcaire taillé ; Les deux fragments (inv.997.0.59.1 et 997.0.59.2) proviennent d'un même ensemble de forme rectangulaire ; toutefois les deux zones cassées ne s'ajustent pas. Une seule face est sculptée. Un tore à listel encadre sur trois côtés un relief taillé dans le volume du rectangle : chaque fragment comporte une feuille de vigne et un lézard de deux ou trois centimètres, très finement ouvragés. Les feuilles composées chacune de cinq nervures, accompagnées de plusieurs vrilles, se décollent de la pierre avec finesse. On devine aussi les restes de grappes de raisins arrachées du fonds. Cette évocation minutieuse de la nature était encore soulignée à l'origine grâce à une polychromie aujourd'hui très lacunaire. Les autres faces de ces fragments, non sculptées, devaient être engagées dans une maçonnerie. Sur les deux faces latérales conservées apparaît une encoche qui devait servir de liaison avec le bloc voisin. Le tore outrepassé à listel, ainsi que la représentation parfaitement réaliste des motifs végétaux et animaliers permettent de proposer une datation de ces fragments au XVe siècle.
