Description
Argent La monnaie a dû être surfrappée car il y a un double grènetis parallèle, mais ne correspondant pas à une double frappe ou tréflage puisqu'à l'extérieur le grènetis compte neuf gros points et qu'à l'intérieur, sur le même arc de cercle le grènetis compte dix-sept petits points ; par ailleurs, la légende et le nez sont mal venus à la frappe ainsi que la partie derrière la tête vers laquelle la pièce oblongue est étirée. La frappe défectueuse se voit au revers par l'interruption du grènetis où devrait se trouver la tête du cavalier qui n'est pas empreinte et à la place de laquelle des traces semblent correspondre à un manteau flottant au vent disposé presque perpendiculairement à celui du cavalier bien visible, la zone du flan étirée et lisse est à droite devant la pointe de la lance. ; Drachme avec au droit, AMBILO (AM ligaturés) devant le visage de bas en haut ; tête féminine casquée à droite, casque ailé, à l'imitation de la tête de Rome sur les deniers républicains ; grènetis de 4 à 7 h. Au revers, EBVRO (VR ligaturés) en bas entre les jambes du cheval ; cavalier galopant à droite, manteau flottant au vent derrière son dos, lance horizontale dans la main droite ; grènetis de 9 à 10 et de 12 à 1 h.
