Porcelaine à décor bleu et blanc, bois doré ; Chine, dynastie Qing (1644-1911), XVIIIeou XIXe siècle ? Porcelaine à décor bleu et blanc, bois doré (socle) Potichomanie ou bibelotage, ces termes nouveaux liés à la pratique de la collection au XIXe siècle sont abondamment repris tandis que l’engouement pour les porcelaines de Chine ou du Japon s’empare irrésistiblement des intérieurs de la bourgeoisie. L’effet de mode ne manque pas d’être raillé par les contemporains et inspire la charge du caricaturiste Honoré Daumier qui publie en 1855 sa série lithographique « Potichomanie » dans le journal Le Charivari.(Catherine Tran 2023)
