Consoles, étagères ou vitrines, le mobilier participe à cette reconstruction d’une Asie rêvée, condensée en une centaine d’objets. Leur typologie est variée, conjuguant les catégories attendues d’une production d’exportation et des curiosités plus insolites : gouaches et éventail chinois, boules ajourées de Canton, émaux sur cuivre et porcelaines de Chine, plats Imari, « pierre de Lard » et jades sculptés, peinture sur verre et lanterne à pendeloques, mais aussi boussole et « petit kaléidoscope chinois », sceptre ruyi et monnaies asiatiques… (Catherine Tran, 2023)
