Bois, laque rouge sculptée, laque noire, alliage cuivreux doré ; Cabinet à une porte, décor de personnages dans des paysages Chine, dynastie Qing, fin de l’époque Qianlong (1736-1795) Bois, laque rouge sculptée, laque noire, alliage cuivreux doré Ce cabinet renvoie par sa forme aux « petites armoires portables » qui servaient de rangement aux objets (sceaux, papier et pinceaux) des lettrés chinois. Très minutieusement sculpté dans l’épaisseur de la laque rouge dite « de Pékin » au XIXe siècle, le décor se structure sous forme de tableaux : lettrés et immortels taoïstes évoluent dans des paysages montagneux ou rocheux, au bord de l’eau, sous les pins et les prunus en fleurs.
