Description

Porcelaine à couverte rouge de cuivre, dite « des fours de Lang » (Lang yao 郎窯) ou « sang de boeuf » ; Verseuse en forme de chapeau de moine. Chine, Jingdezhen, dynastie Qing, époque Kangxi (1662-1722). Porcelaine à couverte rouge de cuivre, dite « des fours de Lang » (Lang yao 郎窯). Laurent Héliot (1848-1909) est sans doute le premier marchand à se spécialiser dans le domaine de la porcelaine chinoise en France. Il est l’un des principaux fournisseurs d’Ernest Grandidier et l’intermédiaire qui lui permettra d’acquérir l’un de ses chefs-d’œuvre : le fameux vase « Mille fleurs ». D’origine bourguignonne, Héliot fait don en 1901 d’un important ensemble de porcelaines chinoises au musée de Dijon : y figure ce vase dont la forme, inspirée de l’orfèvrerie tibétaine, a été appelée en Chine « chapeau de moine » (sengmaohu), la partie supérieure évoquant le couvre-chef des moines tibétains.
