Cuivre ou laiton, fondu à la cire perdue ; Poids en forme de poisson. Il s'agit d'un poids utilisé pour peser la poudre d'or. En Afrique noire l'or était l'apanage des nobles et se concentrait dans les mains des souverains. Au Ghana et au sud de la Côte d'Ivoire, il était pesé à l'aide de poids de métal de formes et de décors très variés, dont certains expriment des proverbes et des devises. Ces poids faisaient partie, comme les boîtes pour conserver la poudre d'or, les balances et les petites cuillères, du ' trésor ' des familles nobles. Ghana, Ashanti.
