Description
Terre cuite tournée, modelée, engobe, gresée. Peinture crème pour le visage, les bras, le cou et les pieds. Rehauts de peinture rouge pour la chevelure et orange sous le noir grésé de la base de la panse. ; Petit lécythe à figures noires attique. L'embouchure, haute et évasée, est noire, avec lèvre rentrante. L'extérieur de l'anse verticale est également en noire. La lèvre est rouge sombre. Sur l'épaule presque horizontale, une frise de fines languettes noires. Dessous, au haut de la panse, une frise de points noirs en quinconces sur deux rangs entre deux lignes fines horizontales, puis registre historié : deux femmes debout en vêtement noir sont tournées vers la droite, mains levées (chairs peintes en ocre clair, diadème peint en rouge sombre) vers une figure en noir. Les plis sont indiqués par des incisions. Sous ce registre, deux filets horizontaux entre lesquels on discerne une frise de pastilles blanches. Le bas de la panse, plus étroit, est peint en noir sur un engobe rouge sombre, mais très éraflé. Le pied est large, plat et peint en noir. Le dessous du pied présente en son centre un ombilic très prononcé. Le lécythe, vase allongé muni d'une anse, avait souvent un usage funéraire, lecythos (en grec) signifiant repas, allusion au banquet funéraire qui accompagnait la cérémonie des morts.
