Manufacture De Clichy
MANUFACTURE DE CLICHY : Création de la cristallerie à Clichy-la-Garenne en 1842, connue tout d'abord pour ses boules presse-papiers décorées de filigranes, elle compte plus de 300 ouvriers dans les années 1860 et devient la troisième cristallerie française après Baccarat et Saint Louis. En 1869, elle devient société Maës frères, l'activité cesse toute activité en 1871 pendant la guerre franco-prussienne. A la reprise, la cristallerie se spécialise dans les services de table : services à liqueur, « verres mousselines » avec des décors taillés et gravés de grande qualité. En 1881, les locaux sont loués la cristallerie de Sèvres en accord avec son frère. La vente forme en 1889 : les Cristalleries de Sèvres et Clichy réunies. A partir de 1890, on ne parle plus que de Cristallerie de Clichy. Suite à des difficultés économiques en 1896, l’activité est fortement ralentie. Elle se poursuit jusqu’en 1932 avant d’être absorbée par les Cristalleries de Choisy le Roi.
