BICKERT & Fils : En 1880, l'usine des frères Bickert, fabricants de velours et peluches ouvre ses portes à Moirans en Isère. Elle s'implante à l'emplacement d'anciens moulins à blé, d'un battoir à chanvre et une fabrique de métiers à tisser qui appartenait à madame Dombey, industrielle locale. Les filatures Bickert et Martin employaient à elles seules plus de 600 personnes et le porche était le théatre quotidien d'impréssionnantes sorties d'usines. Au coup de sirène annonçant la sortie, les rues s'emplissaient d'ouvriers qui, pour beaucoup allaient manger leur gamelle dans les bistrots environnants.
