HOIN : Dijon, 1750 ; Dijon, 1817 ; nationalité : Française ; Elève de l'Ecole de Dessin de Dijon en 1768, Claude Hoin obtient un troisième prix de dessin après Gagneraux et Naigeon. Fixé à Paris où il est recommandé à son compatriote bourguignon Greuze, il est membre correspondant de l'Académie des Sciences, Arts et Belles Lettres de Dijon en 1769. Nommé peintre de Monsieur, frère du roi en 1785, il terminera sa carrière de 1811 à 1817 comme conservateur du musée de Dijon. Dessinateur de renom, il excella dans les techniques les plus variées dont le pastel ; il fut un portraitiste très apprécié
