Grun Jules Alexandre
GRUN : Paris, le 26 mai 1868 ; Neuilly-sur-Seine, 24 janvier 1938 .#Jules Grün fut élève de Jean-Baptiste Lavastre, peintre-décorateur de l'opéra national de Paris et d'Antoine Guillemet, paysagiste et membre fameux du jury du Salon de Paris. Les thèmes de prédilection de Grün étaient les natures mortes, les portraits et les scènes de la vie parisienne de la Belle Époque. Il se fit aussi un nom en tant qu'affichiste et illustrateur dans la mouvance de Jules Chéret. Il dessinera d'ailleurs, plus de deux mille affiches en une quarantaine d'années.#Ce tableau est un peu le point d'orgue de son oeuvre peint. A partir de 1934, Grün sera atteint de la maladie de Parkinson. Il est enterré à Paris, au cimetière du Père Lachaise
