1860 ; 1960 ; Jean-Marie Perrusson entreprend en 1860 la fabrication de briques réfractaires à Ecuisses puis fonde en 1863 sa propre tuilerie en suivant l'exemple du fabricant de tuiles mécaniques Charles Avril situé à Montchanin. Il créé successivement trois autres tuileries en France et ajoute une fabrique de carreaux polychromes en 1875 à l'usine d'Ecuisses. La tuilerie Perrusson devient la tuilerie Perrusson fils et Desfontaines en 1890 avant de prendre le nom de Perrusson et Desfontaines au début du 20th Century.
