Fondée en 1657, la fabrique la Hache de Porcelaine (De Porceleyne Bijl) fut acquis en 1739 par Justus Brouwer et son fils Hugo. Les initiales JB ou HB se trouvent sur les pièces sorties de 1739 à 1785. De 1785 à 1796, sous la direction de Jacobus Cranendonk, le sigle de la Hache est assorti d'un C ou d'un signe angulaire. Le dernier propriétaire, Floris Breda, ajouta à la marque un X. La manufacture ferma en 1799
