Dacheux Edouard
DACHEUX : Péronne, 1879 - 1950 ; Edouard DACHEUX , sculpteur, peintre de paysages de l'Ecole Française du 20th Century, a exposé au Salon de la Nationale à partir de 1930, passant en 1932 au Salon des Artistes Français. Ebéniste de formation et de talent, Edouard Dacheux s'essaya avec succès à la peinture, mais aussi à la sculpture sur bois et sur plâtre. Il fit partie d'un petit noyau d'artistes et de poètes qui animaient la vie culturelle à Péronne dans l'entre-deux-guerres. On cite de cet artiste, basé à Péronne, Passage de gibier sur la Somme, La Somme en automne, Bords de la Somme. Dacheux a offert de nombreux tableaux de grandes dimensions à la ville de Péronne pour participer à la décoration de l'hôtel de ville, dont une série de quatre toiles : Les Quatre Saisons. Le Musée Alfred Danicourt possède entre autre de lui Ruines de Saint-Jean-Baptiste, les nénuphars, le château d'Applaincourt, Etangs de Cléry/Somme, Brumes matinales, ainsi que le buste de Clemenceau, le Père la Victoire.
