Ils ont implanté la chromolithographie en fabriquant eux-mêmes les matières premières, le carton et le papier, en 1875 à Pinsaguel au Ramier du Château, puis en 1891 à Apas. A la maison mère de Toulouse sont groupés autour de l'imprimerie lithographique, l'imprimerie typographique, l'imprimerie sur métal, les ateliers de reliure, de brochage, de cartonnage, d'articles de bureau, et une imprimerie spéciale de décalcomanies pour céramique. A l'usine Cassan, sont façonnés les blocs éphémérides et la Manufacture des Récollets fabrique les registres, copies de lettres, piqûres manifolds. Après les fils, Henri Sirven, Georges Sirven et Auguste Portait ont constitué une oeuvre que les grands prix, les concours, les hors-conco#urs à Hanoï, Saint-Louis, Liège, Londres, Bruxelles, Turin, Milan, Paris ont consacré parmi les têtes de l'industrie française
