Edmond Chaîne : Besançon, 1885 ; Le Creusot, 1944 ; Elève à l'école des beaux-arts de Besançon où son professeur, Félix-Henri Giacomotti (Quingey 1828-Besançon 1909) loriente vers lécole flamande, il termine ses études à lécole des Beaux-arts de Paris. Il devient professeur de dessin dart aux Ecoles spéciales des établissements Schneider au Creusot, et est notamment le maître de Raymond Rochette (Le Creusot 1906-Le Creusot 1993). Il réalise la couverture du programme de lamicale du personnel des usines. Il devient vice-président de la Section des Arts de la Société des Arts et Lettres du Creusot en 1933. Edmond Chaîne décède à lHôtel-Dieu du Creusot en 1944.#Georges Thirion : Nancy, 1882 ; Le Creusot, 1946 ; Georges Thirion part apprendre la ferronnerie à Paris après 1900. Installé au Creusot, il travaille comme artisan serrurier dart mais aussi au forage des burins des usines Schneider.
