Blandin Etienne
Etienne Blandin est un artiste peintre français né à Saint Broladre (Ille-et-Vilaine) en 1903 et décédé dans le quartier de Saint-Servan à Saint-Malo en 1991. Professeur agrégé de dessin, il enseigne dans un collège de Saint-Servan aujourd'hui quartier de Saint-Malo. L'amiral Darlan, qui apprécie sa peinture le fait entrer comme peintre de la marine en 1934. En 1944, malade il quitte la Bretagne pour Gap et ne reviendra à Saint Malo qu'en 1950#Il a participé à la création du musée des Cap-Horniers. Le grand public le connaît surtout au travers de ses portraits de corsaires aux mines patibulaires et comiques, reproduites sur de très nombreuses cartes postales vendues à Saint-Malo. Lorsqu'il enseignait à Saint-Servan, il découvre les talents d'un de ses élèves, Geoffroy Dauvergne dont il poussera les parents à l'inscrire aux Beaux Arts de Rennes où enseignait Mathurin Méheut
