Alfa Paris Fabricant
ALFA PARIS (1934-1970 ?) Fondée à Paris en 1934 (45 rue des Archives, 75003 Paris), cette entreprise commence à produire des ours en peluche deux ans plus tard et continuera pendant 40 ans. Ses ours sont souriants, le plus souvent non articulés et habillés (seules alors les parties visibles sont en mohair, le corps, lui, étant en tissu). Alfa-Paris est d'ailleurs considéré comme l'inventeur des ours habillés et comme un novateur dans le domaine des ours en peluche. Leur aspect est en effet très différent des ours plus anciens. Leur tête ronde paraît presque trop grosse pour leur petit corps. De fabrication artisanale très soignée, ils ne sont pas articulés et peuvent tenir debout. Ils sont en peluche, grise, beige ou blanche, et sont bourrés de kapok. 'Un petit museau blanc se détache nettement de la face des ours, il est terminé par un nez noir joliment cousu.' (Laure Faidherbe - revue Polichinelle d'Avril 1985). Les ours sont identifiables par le nom 'Alfa' imprimé sous leur pied droit. En 1954, les animaux en peluche, 'de haute qualité' sont vendus sous la marque 'Jojo'. A cette époque, Alfa-Paris fabrique également des ours articulés, et d'autres animaux tels que des lapins, des poussins, des ânons. La firme disparaît dans les années 70.
