Adler Jules
ADLER : Luxeuil, 1865 - Paris, 1952. Elève de Bouguereau, de Robert-Fleury et de Dagnau-Bouveret, il obtient plusieurs médailles à l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts. Sociétaire du Salon des Artistes Français, dont il est également membre du Comité et du jury, il reçoit une médaille d'argent à l'Exposition Universelle de 1900, un diplôme d'honneur à l'Exposition Internationale de 1937, et le Prix Bonnat en 1938. Il bénéficie de l'Etat une bourse de voyage, et est fait Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur en 1907 puis Officier en 1923. Pendant la 1ère Guerre Mondiale, il est envoyé en mission aux armées. Membre fondateur du Salon d'Automne, il a figuré également au Salon des Tuileries en 1926. Ce peintre a brossé de nombreux paysages à Paris, Luxeuil, Plombières, et en Normandie. Il s'est surtout intéressé aux scènes de rues, aux drames de la vie des humbles.
