Vue de la salle des Gardes (ou Salon d’Europe) alors qu’il s’agissait encore d’un bureau, avant l’aménagement de la bibliothèque de travail en vitrines pour les armes et les souvenirs militaires du duc d’Aumale, transformation qui eut lieu fin février 1889 peu avant le retour du prince en France (Archives du Musée Condé, 4-PA-206).
