DE PEINTURE ET DESSIN / CH. LE ROUX / FAUB. ST HONORE, 141 / FABRIQUE DE CADRES. Ce carnet de croquis dessiné par le colonel Pierre-Florentin-Louis Guioth (1834-1899) a été acquis grâce aux Amis du musée condé. Aide de camp du général Henri d'Orléans, duc d'Aumale, le colonel Guioth a enregistré dans son carnet les étapes de l’inspection générale menée par le duc lors de sa tournée des corps d'armée du sud-ouest de la France en juin 1879. Cet album de dessins réalisés au crayon et à l’aquarelle, parfois rehaussés au pastel et à la plume, intitulé Carnet d’Inspection générale en 1879 / avec le duc d’Aumale / 16e -17e -18e Corps, Cévennes - Pyrénées Orientales – Auvergne , nous fait découvrir la vie militaire, mais aussi les intérêts personnels du duc d’Aumale en voyage.
