Il s'agit d'une oeuvre en papier vélin, aquarelle, crayon graphite, gouache blanche, carton. Elle mesure Hauteur en cm avec montage 26 ; Largeur en cm avec montage 21 ; Hauteur en cm 19.2 ; Largeur en cm 12.2. Cette pièce a pour sujet : portrait d'inconnu (homme, paysan : Limousin, maladie, assis, sabot). L'oeuvre appartient à la 4e quart 19e siècle. Note sur cette oeuvre : Gaston Vuillier est né le 7 octobre 1845 à Gincla, près de Perpignan, (Pyrénées Orientales). Après une brève carrière préfectorale, il se consacre à la peinture. Voyageur, illustrateur et auteur, il collabore aux revues 'Le Magasin pittoresque' et 'Le Tour du Monde'. En 1880 il rejoint le groupe des peintres de Crozant. Il adoptera le Limousin et en 1892, se fixera en Corrèze à Gimel-les-Cascades, où il décèdera le 2 février 1915.
