VUILLIER Gaston (dessinateur) a utilisé ici papier vélin, pierre noire, aquarelle, rehaut (gouache, blanche), carton. Format : Hauteur en cm avec montage 40.2 ; Largeur en cm avec montage 35 ; Hauteur en cm 39.1 ; Largeur en cm 32.3. L'oeuvre représente : portrait (en buste, homme, chapeau). Elle a été créée durant la 4e quart 19e siècle. À propos de cette pièce : Gaston Vuillier est né le 7 octobre 1845 à Gincla, près de Perpignan, (Pyrénées Orientales). Après une brève carrière préfectorale, il se consacre à la peinture. Voyageur, illustrateur et auteur, il collabore aux revues 'Le Magasin pittoresque' et 'Le Tour du Monde'. En 1880 il rejoint le groupe des peintres de Crozant. Il adoptera le Limousin et en 1892, se fixera en Corrèze à Gimel-les-Cascades, où il décèdera le 2 février 1915.
