Décorateur à Paris, artiste peintre et céramiste, a passé toutes ses vacances dété, des années 1930 aux années 1950, à Montceau-les-Mines, dans le quartier du Rouvrat [ou Rouverat] où habitaient les parents de sa femme Hélène. Pendant ces séjours, il réalisera une multitude de dessins et de croquis de la vie de cette maison et de ce quartier. Il séjournera ensuite dans la Nièvre dans les années 1960, où il réalisera également dessins et peintures.
