« Etude composée le 12 décembre 1819 ». Une grande étendue d’eau se situe devant des bâtiments qui pourraient être une fabrique. Il est certain que cet édifice n’existe plus. Son emplacement n’est pas localisé pour le moment. A l’arrière plan, à gauche de la composition, se situe une montagne qui pourrait être le Saint-Mont ou le Parmont. Bordant la pièce d’eau, un cavalier se promène à cheval. Le terme « composée » peut laisser penser à une scène composée par l’imagination.
