Epreuve en terre cuite rouge. ; Représentation de l'écrivain Pierre Corneille en buste coupé aux épaules. Contrairement à la version de Caffiéri, la tête n'est pas tournée à droite mais droite. Il porte une calotte laissant voir une mèche de cheveux au milieu du front large et ridé; les cheveux bouclés retombent sur les épaules. Il a une moustache et une petite barbiche.Un manteau couvre ses épaules masquant en partie l'habit : on ne voit que les deux rabats du col fermé par une cordelière avec deux glands.
