Petit bronze, probablement utilisé comme serre-livre, représentant un portrait d'Alexandre Dumas père exécuté par Luca Madrassi. Dumas est représenté avec une chevelure hirsute et une chemise ouverte. Le piédouche traditionnel a été remplacé par le sculpteur par deux livres et un rameau d'olivier. Sur le flanc du livre sont indiqué le nom de l'auteur, ses dates de naissance (avec une erreur, il écrit 1803 alors que Dumas est né en 1802) et de mort, ainsi qu'une liste de ces ouvrages les plus célèbres.
