Huile sur carton. ; Artiste de la tradition symboliste, très inspiré par Puvis de Chavannes, et de l’école « mystique lyonnaise ». Cette oeuvre est de la mouvance coloriste du peintre. Les coups de pinceau en hachures, les rythmes, les timbres de couleurs fragmentées, les contrastes entre couleurs chaudes du visage et couleurs froides du fond animent la composition.
