Description

Verre à vin en cristal translucide à décor taillé et gravé. Le pied se dévisse. Ces verres aux proportions élancées ressemblent énormément à un verre à vin façon de Bohême daté des années 1700-1725 (Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum, n° K.O.G. 186). Une jambe extrêmement complexe supporte un verre évasé. Trois disques sous la base du verre, imitant un pas de vis, viennent se fixer dans l'imposant noeud central taillé en facettes alvéolées et encadré par deux noeuds plus fins. La jambe s'évase sensiblement pour créer un pied légèrement conique. Le décor taillé et gravé du verre se rapproche d'un verre à pied d'origine et de datation similaires à la pièce n° UPM 17344 (Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum). La surface est taillée en douze ou quatorze bandes verticales, chacune gravée d'un motif de quadrillage et d'étoiles à six pointes répétés en alternance verticalement et horizontalement. Un décor d'arcs brisés orne la base du verre, superposant ainsi pratiquement le premier motif. (Petit, 2005)
