Description

Coupe en cristal portée par une jambe simple, terminée par un noeud et un pied sensiblement conique. Le verre est parsemé de petites bulles d'air. La coupe, à profil conique dans la partie haute, se dilate à mi-hauteur en une base arrondie. Cette forme évoque ainsi celle des pièces n° 13019, n° 13023, n° 13029 du musée Ariana de Liège et n° 73 du British Museum de Londres, datées de la fin du XVIe siècle ou du début du XVIIe siècle. En outre, la tige simple en balustre à peine perceptible, insiste sur la ligne épurée du verre, elle-même encore accrue par l'absence de décor. Seul le noeud à la base de la jambe rappelle les rondeurs de la coupe. Deux verres à jambe de la fin du XVIe siècle ou du début du XVIIe siècle, conservées au musée Ariana de Liège, ont été réalisées selon un principe esthétique tout à fait similaire (n° 13023 et n° 13029).
